SECONDS ITEM
In pottery terms, "seconds" are ceramic items with a (small) imperfection. When you think about wheel-throwing and kiln-firing, it's clear just how much can go wrong: an oblique edge, a glaze malfunction, a stamp that didn't land exactly on the right place. But just because the pieces aren't up to the full-price standards doesn't mean they need to go in the trash!

This lamp base has some white spots on it. It is visible but not disturbing (see last two pictures)
